Nelson Advisors has been invited to Chair the HealthTech M&A session at the Healthcare Summit 2026.
On Tuesday 22nd September 2026, the Business Design Centre in Islington will once again become the meeting point for the UK's healthcare economy as the Healthcare Summit returns to London. Produced by Nexus Media Group in partnership with HealthInvestor UK and Caring Times, the one-day event has established itself as one of the most significant fixtures in the sector's calendar, drawing together the operators who deliver care, the investors who fund it, and the advisors who shape its transactions.
The scale of the summit reflects the breadth of the market it serves.
Around 1,000 attendees are expected through the doors between 9am and 5pm, alongside some 30 exhibitors and a programme featuring roughly 60 speakers. Attendance is free for providers, meaning care and healthcare professionals working across the NHS, local authorities and private care settings can access the full programme at no cost — a deliberate move to keep frontline operators at the heart of the conversation rather than pricing them out of it.
What distinguishes the Healthcare Summit from more generalist conferences is its structure. Rather than a single plenary track, the day is divided into specialist streams, each targeting a distinct constituency within the healthcare ecosystem. A CFO stream addresses financial management and the operational pressures facing finance leaders; a CTO stream tackles digital health and the technology agenda; and dedicated streams cover dental, social care, complex care and healthcare property. A "public to private" stream examines one of the defining dynamics of the current market — the shifting boundary between NHS provision and independent-sector delivery.
The speaker roster underlines the event's convening power. Chief executives from some of the UK's largest healthcare operators, including Nuffield Health, Priory Group and Barchester Healthcare — share the platform with investment managers, legal experts and innovators spanning dental, mental health, social care and medical technology. For delegates, that mix creates rare opportunities: an operator can hear directly from the capital providers assessing their sector, while investors gain unfiltered insight into the realities of running services under regulatory and workforce pressure.

Health Tech Founders Panel
The Health Tech Founders Panel is a session in the Health Tech stream at the Healthcare Summit 2026, taking place on Tuesday 22 September 2026 from 14:10 to 14:50 at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, London N1 0QH. The session sits within the summit's overarching theme of "Prevention Not Cure" and forms part of a full-day conference programme running from 09:00 to 17:00.
The panel is chaired by Lloyd Price, Partner at Nelson Advisors, a healthtech M&A and growth advisory firm. He is joined by four founders and chief executives who have built and scaled UK digital health businesses: Hamish Grierson, CEO and Co-Founder of Thriva Health, the at-home blood testing and preventative health platform; Edward Ungar, Co-Founder and CEO of Pharmacierge, the private prescribing and pharmacy technology company; Reece Donovan, CEO of Mayden, the provider of the iaptus electronic patient record system used widely across NHS mental health services; and Rachael Crook, CEO and Founder of Lifted, the technology-enabled home care provider.
The 40-minute discussion brings these entrepreneurs together to explore innovation across the health technology sector, drawing on their first-hand experience of founding, funding and growing companies that serve patients, clinicians and the NHS. Topics are likely to include the shift towards preventative care, the practical realities of selling into the health system, and lessons learned along the founder journey.
